PCH Hotels & Resorts Honors Alex Fisher with Inaugural Aura “Bucky” Miller Hospitality With Heart & Soul Award
Mobile, AL – October 7, 2024 – PCH Hotels & Resorts, Inc. is proud to announce Mr. Alex Fisher as the inaugural recipient of the prestigious Aura J. “Bucky” Miller Hospitality With Heart & Soul Award. This award is the highest recognition given to a PCH associate who exemplifies the company's core values and the principles of hospitality embodied in Bucky Miller's famous "commandments" for those who serve in the hospitality industry.
Mr. Fisher, an Event Operations Manager at the Montgomery Marriott Prattville Hotel & Conference Center at Capitol Hill in Prattville, AL, has been a valued team member for 24 years, joining the property’s original opening team in 2000. Known for his professionalism, dedication, and leadership, he is highly regarded by colleagues, guests, and industry partners alike. His unwavering commitment to his team, the property, the company, and the broader community makes him a shining example of excellence within the hospitality industry.
The Bucky Miller Award is named in honor of Aura J. “Bucky” Miller, a legendary figure who dedicated 61 years to The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in Point Clear, AL. Known as “Mr. Hospitality,” Miller was the recipient of numerous accolades, including the J.W. Marriott Award of Excellence, congressional recognition, and honors from seven Southern states. In 2002, the Alabama Department of Tourism named him one of “Alabama’s Unforgettable Faces.” Miller’s commandments of hospitality are centered around kindness, care, positivity, a "can do" attitude, and treating others with respect—values that Mr. Fisher exemplifies in his everyday work.
