Finding ways to reduce childhood hunger. I've organized and participated in backpack drives to provide children with an unstable food source at home with meals for weekends & summer.

What do you love about your job?
The people I meet and the stories I hear - there are many that make a lasting impression and provide a great source for learning, growth and inspiration!

Pop culture - so of course that entails regularly tuning into Reality TV and checking out the headlines on magazines at the grocery store!

Solving problems. IT is problem solving, whether solving a technical issue or finding and offering solutions to business challenges.

Execution: It is in the execution of our IT mission that we can separate ourselves from “typical” IT support departments. Being fundamental business partners allows our associates to create those memorable experiences for our guests.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As the Corporate Director of Spa for PCH, I oversee our spa locations along the Robert Trent Jones’ Spa Trail.

What brings you to the hospitality industry?
The small things are often those that make the biggest impact. Being able to impact an associate or provide a guest service beyond their expectations is one of the most gratifying feelings. From visiting many hotels and resorts across the world, being aware of expectations and touch points that exceed the guest's expectations often involve minimal to no cost and make the biggest impact.

What do you love about your job? SPA - it’s the best place in the hotel and resort! My favorite guest experience is someone's first time to a spa and guiding them through the process. Before you know it, the guest is booking their next appointment before they depart the spa with their newly acquired "spa addiction".

What do you like most about where you live?
Being an Alabama native, I have a deep appreciation for the landscapes, culture, people and hospitality. I love traveling but I also love coming back home to Alabama. The luxury of accessing some of the world's most beautiful beaches within close proximity along with our remarkable resort locations along the Robert Trent Jones trail, Alabama is certain to provide you with an unforgettable experience.

I closely relate to the core value of Execution because I enjoy making a plan, and working hard to see the plan come to fruition. When you have the end goal in mind, it helps you run the race faster, smarter, and more efficiently.

I really just love the people I work with. We work together and care about each other's lives apart from work, and we truly are a family.

I enjoy teaching others new things, showing them more efficient ways to do a task, giving historical information to make better, more informed decisions for the future, and being a team player for the greater good.

The favorite aspect of my job is helping people find the information they need to make their travel easier. And driving them to make the decision to book one of our hotels and resorts.

I recently learned that my ancestors ran an Inn in their village in Germany, so hospitality is in my blood. The diversity of people you meet is my favorite thing about this industry. I’ve met people from around the world through different conventions and meetings, and the guests and associates at our hotels and resorts.

What is your role at PCH?
I am an accounting manager. Responsibilities in my role include ensuring that the financial data is correct prior to submission to ownership. Whether it's making sure that expenses are coded correctly or that the numbers included in the forecasts and budgets make sense, it is a part of my responsibility. Accountants are historians. We tell the company's story through numbers.

My favorite core value is trust. Trust is the foundation for all of the core values. Without it, we are not able to act on the others, such as respect, integrity, collaboration, and innovation. Trust drives relationships.
